History "Seems a shame that the only time we
get together is when someone in the family has passed away." This
was the statement that began the evolution of the Cousins' Club. It was at
Sandra's "Big 5-0" birthday party (Which I'm certain she will deny) in
July 26, of 1998. Everyone was having a great time at the Original Spaghetti
Factory at Johns Landing. Lots of laughing, gag gifts, and a little nostalgia. The
participants were Sandra, Lisa, Aunt Mildred, Aunt Florence, Aunt Ruth, John, and James.
Some of the cousins, in attendance, took the initiative and made plans for
another get-together three months later. After that, the Cousins' Club has
continued to meet at a different restaurant (in the Portland area) the last Sunday
of the month on (or about)
every three months (quarterly). The rest is history, and in July of 2003
we will celebrate our 5th anniversary! Vive L'Cousins' Club!
