Term:
vector graphics
Definition:
Graphics displayed using a technology that specifies how an
image is represented by using vector notation; for example,
a starting point, a length and the direction that the line
to be drawn from the starting point is to take. From a
mathematical perspective, a vector graphics image is
nothing more than a collection of individual lines or
vectors. Vector graphics was an early computer imaging
technology that is no longer widely used except for
specialized applications.
