Term: logical unit (LU)
Definition: Terminal emulation program or application in an SNA network. LUs can communicate with host systems and applications (LU Type 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7) or with other LUs of the same type (LU Type 6.0, 6.1 and 6.2 only). A piece of code that allows a user access to the SNA network and its resources.
