Term:
DECnet
Definition:
A set of networking protocols developed by Digital
Equipment Corporation used in its VAX family of computers
to exchange messages and other data. Although DECnet was
originally a proprietary protocol. With DECnet Phase V DEC
merged its protocols with OSI protocols. With the
completion of this process DECnet protocols should
interoperate with any OSI-compliant network node.
